Circle Takes the Square-As the Roots Undo

Hey all, I'm extremely stoned right now and have been jamming to this album all night, so I thought why not upload it. Now, due to my condition I'm going to resort, once again to last.fm for a description. Hell they probably write better shit than me anyway, but whatever.
"Circle Takes the Square (often abbreviated CTTS) is a band from Savannah, Georgia, USA. The band formed in 2001 as a four-piece and after their first two releases they lost a guitarist but gained another in late 2004. What listeners tend to notice first about the band is the loud screaming of both male and female vocals that often function in a kind of call and response. Skillful, chaotic drumming coupled with intense, highly technical bass/guitar work have served to separate the band from most others in the screamo genre. Highly diverse song structures (from meditative, droning intros to crushing choruses) have also assisted in carving their unique niche. The band completed a tour of the UK in mid-2004.": -Last.fm

Beau Navire/Carrion Spring/Dischord of a Forgotten Skecth/ Te Lloraria Un Puto Rio-Split 8"

This is an amazing 4 way split, between 4 amazing bands, playing some amazing screamo. I would hoep you've heard of Beau Navire, but if you javen't they play a noisy, chaotic style of screamo. Carrion Spring is more hardcore influenced, but still sound pretty skrumzzzy. Dischord of a forgotten sketch play some real nice screamo, tense and noisy. And finally, Te lloraria..... also had a noisier sound, but managed to still ahve a unique sound. Each of these bands were able to achieve that on this record, they all play the same style of music but still remain vastly different from one another. anyway definately give this a listen if you like just about any variation of screamo, you won't be dissapointed. The vinyl is at state of mind and I think Bear records (I got min from state of mind.) It's limited to only 500 copies on clear vinyl, and I'm guessing there won't be any more pressings anytime soon.

Her Breath on Glass/Sofy Major Split 7"

I have the worst case of the flu right now, this album fits my mood pretty well right now.  Her breath on glass Feature members of the Saddest Landscape, an they do sound similar, but HBOG's songs on this release feature distant, faded horns and violins before kicking into the usual desperate, tormented sounds.  HBOG really killed it on  this one.  I had never heard of Sofy Major before but they accompany HBOG well on this release. Definately check this out if you like 90's emo/screamo or The Saddest Landscape.  You can also buy it from State of mind recordings( maybe other stores too, I got mine from state of mind), but the vinyl comes with some really neat packaging and inserts, and a nice rant about D.I.Y on the back :p.

мища-Discography so far

You should have heard of this band, their names is pronounced Miisha by the way.  I really like this band, their vocals are awesome and their songs are chaotic, tense and awesome as well. They've put out 2 splits since this disco came out (one with Innards and one with We Were Skeletons. I might get around to posting these some day.) Anyways here's what last.fm has to say-, they have nothing say just a list of their releases so yeah.  If you don't already have this you should be downloading this asap.

PS:You can pick up the Split with We were skeletons at Black with Sap still.

Boyfriends/Boys and Sex Split 7"

This is another one of my favorite albums that I own physically. Boyfriends feature members of 1994! and snowing. Boys and Sex features members of Casillis, Snowing, Boy problems and Make me. With such an awesome lineup, Boys and Sex rock out like expected, but retain a unique sound different then their other bands. I own this bad boy on purple and black vinyl, it rocks hard and looks nice.

Neil Perry-Lineage Situations

Neil Perry is an amazing older screamo band from my homestate of jersey. I haven't heard of them at all until this afternoon, but now I love them. Here's what Last.fm has to say : "Neil Perry was a screamo band from New Jersey formed in 1998 by former members of You and I and Red All Over. They issued a slew of releases, with forty tracks at their demise. These forty songs were released on a discography 2xCD entitled Lineage Situation by Level-Plane records. Bonus material with this included a 35 minute video of live shows, tour footage, and various other scraps of footage compiled during the band’s span.Band split up in 2002.

Neil Perry was Josh Jakubowski (vocals/guitar), Chris Smith (guitar/vocals), Jon Marinari (vocals/bass), and Justin Graves (drums).

Members went on to, or were involved with, Hot Cross, The Now, Superstitions of the Sky, Joshua Fit for Battle, You and I, Welcome the Plague Year, Track Of Monarchs, A Life Once Lost, Interpol etc.

Neil Perry was a character in the 80’s movie, Dead Poet’s Society."  Rock on.

Cease Upon The Capitol and Trikorona split

Cease upon the Capitol lays down four tracks of the usual tense screamo you would expect from them, and it's pretty sweet. I have never heard of Trikorona before, but in about a minute I will listen to them, so I'll let you know how they are. Alright, first impressions are that they sound like your typical faster, angrier screamo outfit. They have a fuzzy, raw sound about their songs but their vocalist doesn't work well for me.
Overall you should download this just for Cease's songs alone.

Moldar and Matsuri-Sell my pipe if you have to split

Both of these bands are absolutely amazing and so is this album, but like my last post your getting some last.fm quotes. Mwahahah

"Moldar was a three-piece screamo band from Pasadena, California. They started in November of 2007 and their last show was on August 21, 2009."-Last.fm   Well there you go that's Moldar's bio.

"Screamo band from sunburn city! California,

Hot Cross/Lickgoldensky Split

Here's a classic split, I remember never liking lickgoldensky until I heard this. But I'm a little stoned so here's some last.fm info about these guys.

"Hot Cross was a screamo/post-hardcore band formed in Philadelphia in 2000 on Hope Division/Equal Vision Records. The band comprised members from bands such as Saetia (vocalist Billy Werner and drummer Greg Drudy, who was also a founding member and the original drummer of post-punk group Interpol), Off Minor (bassist/guitarist Matt Smith), You and I (guitarist Casey Boland), Neil PerryThe Now and Joshua Fit for Battle (bassist/guitarist Josh Jakubowsky)."

"LickGoldenSky enjoys being jerks. From delivering feedback to the crowd while munching potato chips onstage, to talk of the imminent acoustic record. LickGoldenSky isn’t afraid of doing whatever they want. But LickGoldenSky doesn’t really know what the ground under their feet feels like. They’ve simply never been there. So while this is just a little more tops-turvy that most hardcore records out there, make no mistake about it: this is still hardcore."

Both from last.fm, and my response to Lickgodensky's bio: Fuck yes

edit: i don't know what's going on with the colors, just go with it :)

I'll definately be posting more ordestro soon. They play a crushingly heavy, doomy, post rockey, heavy, heavy blend of awesome. Download this now.

John Cota/Ten thousand leagues Split

I don't care much for John cota but 10000 leagues is a rough, gritty screamo band that are really good at making music. You should check this out and do everything your power to get some physical material from these guys.
